Writer's Block: Cover me

Which songs have been covered better by artists who didn't originally sing them?

Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares to U (Original: Prince)
Leona Lewis - Run (Original: Snow Patrol)
Joe Cocker - With a little Help from my Friends (Original: the Beatles)
Gary Jules - Mad World (Original: Tears for Fears)

Writer's Block: MAKE IT STOP!

What was the last song you couldn't get out of your head no matter how hard you tried?

Kylie Minogue's 'Can't get you out of my head'...I should have known the title carried the curse of inevitability.

Writer's Block: 10 Years From Now

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

I will probasbly be in the spirit world, if there is such a thing. Guess I'll know in ten years ;-)

May 2010 bring you hapiness

I designed this e-card to present warm wishes of happiness to you all:

The large size version (800 x 600) is here, along with references to the stock I used.

Looking at the finished art work made me realize I had instinctively selected warm tones. Could this be a subconscious protest against the bitter London winter? According to some newsreaders, this winter is the harshest we've had in...50 years!
I hope those of you in the Northern Hemisphere are wrapping up warm. Those in the Southern Hemisphere, enjoy the good weather! My friends in Sydney had 35 degrees (Celcius) at Xmas. Not that I'm jealous or anything...;-)

Happy 2010 to all of you

What Tarot Card are you?

Loving the result...;-)

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises. The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised.
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change,
but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight.
And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst,
with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.
